It has expanded all over the country and offers a simple exercise program that has the ability to help ease the daily struggles of Parkinson’s, and delay some of the more devastating results of the disease through exercise. This program can give people some of their independence back and help them deal with the day-to-day issues of living with Parkinson’s.

Zen Connection Program

A free Breast Cancer Survivor Program, supported by the Summa Health Women's Board, Zen Connections enhances the care breast cancer patients receive at Summa.

Classes include restorative yoga, mindful movements, body awareness, reiki and essential oils. Each class is 90 minutes long and will have up to 12 participants. We are offering a 6-week group session. Classes are once a week. All classes are taught by a certified Urban Zen Integrative Therapy (UZIT) instructor.

We have two different classes offered each week but you may only attend one class. Our Monday classes focus on breast cancer survivors who are in active treatment and our Thursday classes focus on breast cancer survivors who have completed their treatment.

To participate, all we ask is that you sign a consent form and obtain a medical release from your physician. You will receive your own yoga mat at your first class and each week there will be a short evaluation to complete at the end of class.

Choose the right 6-week group session for you in 2018.
